Anthony ARCHAMBAULT pilot Art Montgolfières

I've always had a passion for ballooning, but I first discovered aerostation as a ground crew member. The " retrouving " (as it's called in our business) is a great learning experience. It gives us the opportunity to work with many different crews and pilots from very different backgrounds. Today's technologies are very helpful, but when I started out, all I needed was a compass, an IGN map and a bit of resourcefulness to anticipate and land before the balloon landed!

Since then, I've explored all facets of hot-air ballooning, taking part in various events such as meetings, demonstrations, sports flights during the French championships, and passenger flights for the various companies I've flown for.

I joined Art Montgolfières today because I fully identify with its values. This young, dynamic team welcomed me with open arms. It's still a family-run business, and its professionalism in all areas, especially flight safety, coexists with a strong desire to share its passion above all else. Humanity, nature and travel are all part of Icarus' dream... to discover the world through different eyes, to experience magical moments and to fly !

After 11 years as a pilot-in-command, I've now become an instructor, to pass on my knowledge and enable other young aspirants to become pilots. Passing on and involving you in this unique experience are very important to me. I'd be delighted to welcome you aboard my gondola and take you up in the air.
