From the olive groves and lavender fields at the foot of Puimoisson, to the ochre earth of the village of Roussillon, passengers on a flight in Provence are treated to the most picturesque views this beautiful region has to offer.

Hot-air ballooning is a means of air transport that lets you fly as you please. You can stay just a metre off the ground, or fly a kilometer high, to admire the landscape as far as the eye can see.
When the balloon is low, passengers are sometimes greeted by walkers on the ground. As soon as the gondola takes off, the atmosphere on board is very special. Aeronauts feel they're in for something out of the ordinary.

You don't have to be particularly tall, agile or athletic to climb into the gondola. Notches and hooks are provided in the edge of the basket for effortless access.

Typical take-off sites in Provence
Located in the Parc Naturel Régional du Luberon, the typical Provencal village of Roussillon is the starting point for one of our Provence flight plans.

The other starting point in the region is the commune of Puimoisson, in the beautiful Parc Naturel Régional du Verdon. This perched village is surrounded by olive orchards and lavender fields, with its ancient houses, red-roofed with Roman tiles, and its church topped by a campanile. It's a place perfectly characteristic of Provence.
